Friend Raising: A Heartfelt Journey to Singapore

Friend Raising: A Heartfelt Journey to Singapore

Our recent trip to Singapore was nothing short of remarkable, filled with meaningful encounters and enriching conversations. It wasn’t just about visiting a new place; it was about connecting with people who generously gave their time to listen to our story, share their thoughts, and offer their support. It was truly an exercise in “Friend Raising,” where the bonds we formed transcended beyond professional networks to genuine friendships.

From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this mission was going to be special. We were welcomed with warmth and sincerity by those who had kindly taken the time to meet with us. These individuals were not just supporters in a formal sense; they became friends who were eager to hear about our work, our challenges, and the vision we hold for the future. Each conversation was filled with thoughtful insights, advice, and a sense of shared purpose.

One of the highlights of our trip was meeting people who connected us with a wider circle of like-minded individuals. These introductions were invaluable. Through their networks, we were able to meet professionals and advocates who share our mission and who can offer practical help in advancing our program. It was a humbling experience to witness how generous people can be—not just with their resources, but with their time, their ideas, and their willingness to collaborate for a cause.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the organizers of this trip. Their efforts behind the scenes made everything possible. Without their dedication and coordination, none of these fruitful meetings and new connections would have happened. They laid the groundwork for what is sure to be a lasting and impactful relationship with our friends in Singapore.

As we look back on this trip, we are filled with gratitude. It was not just about fulfilling a mission, but a journey of friend raising, where we deepened relationships and built bridges to future opportunities. We return home inspired, knowing that the friends we have made in Singapore are not only supportive of our work but genuinely invested in seeing our program thrive.

We are excited for what lies ahead, confident that with the support of our new friends and partners, we are one step closer to realizing our goals. Thank you Vincent Lim Jk, Andy Wee, Adrian Phang and the Canossian Sisters for your generosity and friendship.  Thank you Spring Rain Global.
